Morse's eventual death in the final episode "The Remorseful Day" is caused by heart problems exacerbated by heavy drinking, although in the books his death is diabetes-related. Business tycoon Sir John Balcombe is found murdered at his country house, Balcombe Castle, with no signs of a break-in. A year after her murder, the police re-open the case of Yvonne Harrison when they receive an anonymous letter implicating a burglar, Harry Repp, who is about to be released from prison. The first releases were 2 episodes per discs later followed by four volumes of these same releases in boxed sets. Dexter made uncredited cameo appearances in all but three of the episodes.
