I found the section on staying at the peak the most enlightening section of the whole book. The author is clearly a practitioner in helping companies in this process, and the book is a good distillation. Not only that but I now know what predictable success looks like, how to get there, and how to stay there. Will definitely need to read again. I have a TON to think about and process through. Learn how to lead your organization to scale, whether it's a for-profit, not-for-profit, faith- or cause-based, NGO or any other enterprise. This makes me want to read the other Les McKeThis book was much more geared toward start up companies than I thought. I think this is an important book to read for those who are conflicted by stages of their business.

I liked his overall paradigm for describing common things companies experience and loved how he gave specific advice on some topics.This book concisely lays out a compelling framework for understanding the overall issues of increasing complexity as an organization grows, and provides some useful insight into resolving those issues. I can’t tell you how manMy husband has been trying to get me to read this book for two years and I finally got my hands on it. I can’t tell you how many “oh my gosh, YES!” moments I had as I was reading this book! For pastors, it takes nuance and depth to translate these ideas and many leaders won't be able to handle the very business-minded nature of the book (in fact, many religious pastors won't be able to).Fantastic high-level yet on-the-ground conversation that quickly diagnosis any business, anywhere, on a 7-point "lifecycle" model...and advises exactly what to do next for fastest success. But if you are starting up a company, this would mean a lot more to you then me. Very thought provoking.
