Melbourne is also superior in terms of transport options due to the trams running down key streets although Sydney is set to catch up with the light rail extension. Let's be honest, Australia is a massive country and for travellers short on time it may be essential to choose between a visit to Sydney or Melbourne. Plus, you have to watch out for the wind!
