It is the first book in her House of Earth trilogy, continued in Sons (1932) and A House Divided (1935). In the city, O-Lan and the children beg while Wang Lung pulls a Wang Lung uses this money to bring the family home, buy a new ox and farm tools, and hire servants to work the land for him. Once again the plotline was largely lost on me though you could apparently get title to one square foot of a Welsh hillside by submitting the forms printed on the back cover of the album.
He later sends his first two sons to school, also apprenticing the second one to a merchant, and retains the third one on the land. What I discovered on albums by Manfred Mann's Earth Band, however, were basically tunes of melodic Hard Rock with only a smattering of Progressive Rock tinsel scattered over a handful of tracks. Love this album. There were plenty of highlights including Rogers' guitar work on the title track (including what sounded like a nod to Free), the nice ballad 'Launching Place' and the country-tinged 'I'll Be Gone'. During the devastating famine and drought, the family must flee to a large city in the south to find work. 00.
