The only deck where Shaymin-EX's lack of a once-per-turn clause is becoming problematic is in donk decks, and the reason for that is because of Scoop Up Net. Rebel Clash 165/192 Uncommon. This is the reason why FotGP is banned and not NXD Shiftry (TPCi did initially make the mistake of banning Shiftry and not FotGP, but eventually this rectified this and flipped the ban). The Shaymin-EX + Scoop Up Net combo is starting to become problematic, but it's not because of Shaymin-EX. after playing several games in Expanded format since the release of Rebel Clash and its new card - If card has existed for years without causing issues and then all of a sudden it becomes "broken" when a new card is released, there's a good chance that the new card is the issue and not the old one. I read a post about a Mewtwo and Mew combo with Shaymin EX to continually heal the pokemon Yet Scoop Up Net is not a huge problem when you play it with any other card.

Somehow, that doesn't fit. Pokemon V will tend to be better than Pokemon EX because of the power creep, but abilities don't need to be stronger than their older counterparts. While it might be plausible to release an Alternate Art version of an old Safeguard Pokémon, since it may no longer be obsolete, doing the same with something like Silver Bangle still sees it as a worse version of Choice Band.
