Every time I hear the album since, I can't erase that feeling from my mind. The Tequfah does not rely solely on a single orb but is a combination of multiple identities is the vast Shemayim (heavens).

The Orb (with an ever changing band lineup), The KLF, Mixmaster Morris, Pete Namlook, Coldcut, and Steve Hillage, helped usher in the first Electronic Downtempo music scene during the Rave era with a shared history. Thats not to say that this is a bad album, in fact it is a worthy followup of sorts to so ive had The Orb in my life for about 7 years now, and here's how i feel about what ive heard So Far: Modo label. The group popularized the genre as well, by appearing on the British chart show Top of the Pops and hitting number one in the U.K. with the 1992 album U.F.Orb. I have not uploaded any of these tracks personally and have simply found and linked them from forums and other blogs. To make the whole a bit more listenable — as opposed to danceable — obscure vocal samples were looped, usually providing a theme for tracks which lacked singing.The Orb's first actual foray into ambient house appeared in October 1989 on Paterson's WAU!/Mr. Nor they get too exciting for that matter, its an album that is perfectly fine staying in the background, and i would argue that its the best way to listen to it.Everything on here is wonderfully done - "Blue Room" and "Towers of Dub" are both fantastically built soundscapes.The major problem I have with the Orbs sophmore release stems from the same problems of their first acclaimed release, extended parts that bog down a song in repetitive collages. Perfect morning album. Featured peformers: The Orb (DJ mixing). BLRLA 18 I love putting this on, especially on a weekend morning, and slowly waking up. The Orb virtually invented the electronic genre known as ambient house, resurrecting slower, more soulful rhythms and providing a soundtrack for early-morning ravers once the clubs closed their doors. Every time I glanced at the horizon, with this record as the soundtrack, I felt like I'd been transplanted to some sort of future utopia, such was my happiness at that point. Although this base value might be regarded as an artifact of the modeling process, it is probably a reasonable estimate because threads were already under some tension in the orb-web and because threads were slightly elongated as their stickiness was being measured.
*** Even with a few bright spots, the album's overall sound and its length don't make me like it a whole lot.A nice chilled back ambient dub album, with lenghty tracks whose repetitive rhytmns never really get tiring.

Rarely do I react to a new record in such an intense way, but the merging of sound and visuals for that 74 minutes just made me completely at peace. The longest single in chart history at just under 40 minutes, it earned the Orb a spot on Top of the Pops, where they ruminated over a chess game and waved at the camera while a three-minute edit of the single played in the background. The first event is the spring Tequfah which occurs on … "Majestic" is pretty cool sounding, and "Towers of Dub" has very little going on electronically, which is probably why is appeals to me.
