Nejc Kamplet started learning the piano at the young age of six and is currently in the fourth year at the Maribor Music and Ballet Conservatory under mag. Saša Gerželj Donaldson.

He often attends master classes nationally and internationally, for example with dr. prof. Arb Valdmi in Slovenia, Germany, Liechtenstein, Estonia, Croatia, etc. In 2010 he was invited to take part in two one-week long master classes in Liechtenstein by recommendation of prominent professors.
In October 2010 he received a Dr. Roman Klasinc certificate of the Maribor Music and Ballet Conservatory, which is only given to the most successful of students and professors.

He is a very successful pianist for his age; his success in mirrored in countless awards, some of them being: a golden plaque at the national competition TEMSIG in the years 2007, 2010 and 2011, first prize in the 5th International Zlatko Grgošević competition in Zagreb in 2008, second and special prize for the performance of a classical sonata at the 4th international competition Paolo Spincich in Trieste in 2008 and last but not least the second and special prize for the best performance of the First Viennese School at the 9th international competition by Panmusica in Vienna.
