Samo Šalamon is "one of the most talented and interesting young guitarists and composers to emerge on today's jazz scene", being selected by the magazine Guitar Player as one of the hottest 10 new guitarists in the world.

Šalamun has an incredible technique and a desire to combine different styles. This concert will serve as his first encounter with a classical string orchestra. Festival Maribor asked Šalamun to arrange his own music for strings. What is more, he will also introduce his newest work, which is dedicated to the recently deceased French composer Dutilleux.
