On the downside it is expensive and doesn't have a great night life. similar to australia? New Zealand is a great place to explore if you like nature and has a relatively chilled out work culture. We don't have giant stores like Walmart nor huge wholesalers like Costco.

The burgers are smaller. But there are many sheep. For the most, driving from city to city means driving along winding, relatively narrow 2-lane (one way each direction) country roads.Our shops and buildings are all smaller. The hordes fleeing the country induce regular outpourings of angst in the media. On the other hand, you can’t move for sheep. The over commercialized self centered culture of the US has seriously worn me down and the fast paced lifestyle has contributed to a strong sense of general anxiety. It's not all 'my rights this' and 'my rights that', like it is in the USA.When you're eating out, in most restaurants you go to the counter to pay for your meal when done rather than them bring the 'check' to your table like the USA.. and you certainly When you drink at a bar, for the most you pay for your drinks at the counter when you order your drink - before you receive it.
Our malls are minuscule in comparison to yours. Take this from a person currently living in a new zealand town of roughly 500. There's no way I would move to that town in the article, halfway between Invercargill and Dunedin... dark, cold and at the end of the world with Antarctica blowing on you constantly. Little differences.. the taps were odd, the plugs were odd, the showers were odd, the toilets were odd; practically functioned the same way, but different to what we have here.The light switches here operate the opposite way - down is on, up is off.
