Bottega Veneta’s ‘The Pouch’ bag resembles an oversized vintage coin purse, but comes with a modern flair that feels grown up and sophisticated. I always do a lot of research prior to purchasing any bag, and that includes seeing it in person several times before committing. Another great detail about the frame is that it’s magnetic and makes opening and closing the bag pretty seamless. It takes a lot to impress me these days, and even more to convince me to purchase.
I went with the smooth leather since I felt that it looked more clean and classic, which is right in line with my style. The bag is incredibly soft and the large size can actually hold quite a bit. Though the silhouette and fabric manipulation is almost like the oversized leather version of your grandmother’s coin purse, it manages to provide comfortability and functionality without compromising style. Although it’s technically a clutch, it’s super functional for daytime or evening.
Despite it being a clutch I find this bag very easy to wear, it’s lightweight so it doesn’t make my arm tired. It’s beautifully made from super soft leather, and comes with a rigid frame that doesn’t lose its shape. Though this bag is hot now, I think it will earn its way into classic status. Review.
